Adolescent, Adult, Family and Ketamine Therapy in the Greater Portland Area
Alex Feinberg, LCSW
I am Alex Feinberg, LCSW. As a therapist, I bring the same qualities to my work that I value in my own life: authenticity, intention, and curiosity.
I draw from Cognitive Behavioral, Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapies to offer a holistic approach.
Starting therapy is a big step and I try and make it as manageable and understandable as possible.

Ready to meet your life more fully?
I offer in-person and remote therapy for adolescents, adults, and families, as well as ketamine-assisted psychotherapy for clients seeking a different path forward.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, family conflict, grief, or questions of purpose, therapy can help you understand what’s keeping you stuck and move toward what matters. Life is waiting. Start here.
“I did family therapy with Alex and it was a transformative experience. My family member and I ended therapy feeling empowered in our relationship and like we had the tools to keep our relationship healthy.”
A Note from Alex
Good therapy begins with trust.
“I’ll show up for you—and I’ll ask you to show up for yourself.”
Evidence-based approaches and therapeutic tools matter, but meaningful therapy begins with a relationship in which you feel safe, understood, and able to be honest.
When we first meet, my priority is to help you feel comfortable with me and with the process. We’ll take the time to build a strong working relationship so that you—and every part of you—can begin to open up.
I also want to be honest about what therapy asks of you. Therapy can be hard. I may ask difficult questions, encourage you to look beneath familiar patterns, and invite you to sit with feelings or experiences you would rather avoid. The work takes courage, curiosity, and a willingness to show up—but it can pay off.
Together, we can understand what is keeping you stuck, move toward what matters, and help you show up more fully in your life.
“Working with Alex has been an enormous help for my two teenagers and for my family as a whole. Alex and very open to support and advice. He is clear and fair and navigates family relationships expertly. ”
